Modern, smart, with good plot and incidental information, lots of fun facts about Jewelry and gemstones. More profanity than in her other works, unfortunately.
Another fascinating story by Barbara Michaels! I hope she continues to write for many more years. Very engrossing and impossible to put down.
A jolly good mystery!
Fascinating book on several levels, the love story, the mystery, the detection Barbara Michaels must have been a fan of Dorothy Sayers, there are several pointers to Gaudy Night, the quotation, the sudden desire for the necklace, intolerance of married life. But still remains a true Barbara Michaels.
Well recommended.
Like all of Barbara Michael’s novels there is the unraveling of romance and mystery,but also the bonus of learning so much about the topics in the novel-this one jewelry.
It's been long enough since the last time I read this book that it was like discovering a new favorite. Now to re-read some more -)
